Plus Plus Tutoring is a quality private in-home tutoring program and comprehensive educational service that was founded in 2008 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and originally only served the North Carolina Triangle area: Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh areas (Orange, Durham, and Wake counties). However, today, Plus Plus Tutoring serves many areas in fifteen states: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. We also serve the Washington, DC area. Our central office is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and we have representatives located in other states.

Plus Plus Tutoring offers individualized subject tutoring, exam preparation, college planning services, and study skills and organization sessions. We do not have any contracts or testing fees and our rates are reasonable and affordable. We strongly believe that your child can succeed and improve his or her grades and abilities significantly in every subject with the proper guidance.

Our in-home tutoring specialists and mentors will quickly identify your child's weak points and help improve his or her performance. Our private 1-1 personal tutoring is offered year-round (winter, spring, fall and summer) with low costs, reliability, and flexibility. Your son or daughter will have the exclusive attention of an convenient, experienced, specialized and a highly qualified educator. Our tutoring experts can meet the student in-home or at a neutral location such as a public library, or a school library. You can choose whatever schedule works best for you.

Our students are satisfied with our services and see major improvements in their performance. Unlike other tutoring services, we do not overcharge our clients. Our rates start as low as $27 an hour for basic courses and $32 an hour for advanced courses making us one of the most affordable tutoring agencies in the nation. Our prices for SAT prep and ACT prep start as low as $27/hour as well. We take pride in our low prices and we are proudly helping students succeed.

Subject Tutoring

We offer personal lessons in high school, middle school, and elementary school core subjects. We offer personal tutoring services in almost every K-12 subject of your child's school curriculum. We offer Foreign Language tutoring including French tutoring and Spanish tutoring. We also offer Science tutoring including Physical Science tutoring, Physics tutoring, Chemistry tutoring and Math tutoring including Pre-Algebra tutoring, Algebra tutoring, Geometry tutoring, Trigonometry tutoring, Pre-Calculus tutoring, Calculus tutoring and Statistics tutoring. We offer Language Arts tutoring including Phonics tutoring, Grammar tutoring, Social Studies tutoring, Writing tutoring and Reading tutoring. We also have tutors that offer students World Studies tutoring, Social studies tutoring and History tutoring. Our approach focuses on customized affordable individual tutoring but we also offer group tutoring sessions. Our tutors and coaches work with both students with learning disabilities and students that are academically gifted. We work with students from Remedial, Regular, Honors, and Advanced courses. Exam and Test Preparation

Besides subject tutoring, we offer standardized exam and test preparation for exams such as the SAT Reasoning Test including SAT reading, SAT writing and SAT reading sections. We also offer exam preparation services in the PSAT, the ACT, SAT Subject Tests, AP, IB, and CLEP exams. To prepare students for standaridzed exams, we help students review critical vocabulary and test-taking strategies.

We have also prepared students for the ASVAB, PRAXIS, GED, state End of Grade, and state End of Course examinations. Our tutors help prepare students for both essay and multiple choice portions of standardized exams.

Other services

We also offer study skills, organization skills, and strategy sessions. That includes homework help. Our home tutors understand different students' learning style, and help motivate students with strategies that work. With our college planning services, we also help high school students choose and apply to the college that is right for them.

We are highly selective in choosing our tutors and consider educational background, work experience, and other relevant information in selecting our tutors. We do not have minimum but we prefer at least Bachelor's degree, and prior tutoring experience. We have previously hired certified teachers, top of the line college and graduate students, and professionals with full-time jobs.
