Tutors at Plus Plus Tutoring are hired as part-time 1099 independent contractors. The starting compensation rate for tutoring jobs is fifteen dollars an hour. Gas compensation of four dollars a round-trip is available for travel distances exceeding 10 miles. Tutors generally work on a flexible schedule and can often choose their own hours. There are no minimum requirements to become a tutor and each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, a Bachelor's degree and tutoring experience is preferred.

We have previously hired certified teachers, top of the line college and graduate students, and professionals with full-time jobs. We are highly selective in choosing our tutors and consider educational background, work experience, and other relevant information in selecting our tutors.

Our tutors are expected to have good communication skills as well as mastery of the subject or exam they are tutoring. Tutors are also expected to exhibit professionalism. Since our tutoring services occur in-home or at a neutral location, a reliable mode of transporation is necessary.

We currently have jobs available tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students. We are also hiring exam preparation specialists in the SAT, ACT, AP, IB, GED, and other standardized exams.
